Hello,

My aim with this site is to link my deconstructive works with my constructive works. As creators/artists/scholars, we often dissect what we love in order to learn from it. As I write this I think of Wordsworth's The Tables Turned  - "We murder to dissect" - hmm ... think he meant something else, but great line, and it can be relevant here: when we examine something too closely, too much, we can come to despise it; however, perhaps, upon close examination, the subject reveals a secret, an essence, a beauty that makes us love it more. As an academic and one who tries to create, a subscribe to a method of as much construction as deconstruction - I deconstruct to learn, to help me create. In the Publications section, you will see this combination of deconstruction and construction represented in the academic writings and the creative works. In The Symbolic Order section, you will encounter constructions (works) that deconstruct the human condition, in an attempt to better understand existence, and I hope, to come to enjoy it more fully.
